Last week we spoke about Marla Mase being part of an incredible event and organization called, The Tinderbox Music Festival on IndieGoGo, which is an annual event that showcases a diverse lineup of established and emerging female artists who are producing innovative original music. This week we are going to talk about Harmony For Hunger.
The incredible Marla Mase, whose new CD SPEAK (that I am enjoying every single day) is now out for her fans to buy! And while this amazing woman is working hard in the studio to bring us all a voice of sheer perfection and a plethora of unforgettable songs, she is also SPEAKing for associations and organizations that are truly doing fantastic work! Marla Mase wants you all to know that she is one artist who is volunteering her time, talent, and beautiful energy to Harmony For Hunger. And they need YOU to help too!
A group of supreme artists will be part of a concert being held on Tuesday, August 23rd at The Bitter End ” at 147 Bleecker Street (between Thompson and LaGuardia) NYC, NY. Begun in 1961 (50 years!), The Bitter End is New York City`s Oldest Rock Club, and on August 23rd from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., they will be hosting this event to Satisfy Hunger. As we all know in this world today, there are millions suffering in the United States. In fact, there are 1.2 million hungry people in New York, alone, and this day will help to bring food to those people who truly need it!
Those are the numbers, gang. 1.2 million people will visit NYC food shelters this year alone, and the goal of Harmony for Hunger is to help fill this need. An all-day yogathon (a combination of music and yoga) is happening at various NYC yoga locations on August 23rd, with fun events occurring all over the City that day at Sonic Yoga, Sankalpah Yoga, Giving Tree, Will Duprey Yoga, and more! And that night, at The Bitter End, the concert of all concerts will begin at 7:00 p.m., with performers that will include Kylie Edmond, Cassandra Kubinski, and, the best of the best – Marla Mase – and more!
