Lil` Mirkk is one of those amazingly talented individuals

Lil’ Mirkk is a true motion picture star and nationally-known rapper whose career has crossed artistic and creative genres all across the board.  An actor, a producer, a rap artist – Lil’ Mirkk is one of those amazingly talented individuals whose skills know no bounds.

He is also one of the most honest, forthright, and candid men that anyone could ever have the pleasure of meeting.  Once a gang member in South Central L.A., Lil’ Mirkk left the gang life behind long ago, and became a serious proponent for the younger generation. Reaching out with support, understanding and intelligence, he has become a truly positive role model for one and all. Not a surprise, seeing as that Lil’ Mirkk professes the ‘good’ in all.  He believes in the positive aspects of life and surrounding yourself with ‘good’ and ‘true’ people on a daily basis.

His ‘big break’ came when Lil’ Mirkk was just four-years-old and appeared on the hysterical and legendary television sitcom, Chico & The Man for eighty-two episodes.  From there, he went on to other roles and commercials starring as Bionic Boy and appearing in the Bionic Woman.  Acting was in this man’s blood from birth, it seems.  He was even seen on commercials for Burger King and McDonald’s (biting both burgers, mind you, and never showing a favorite). From Toys ‘R’ Us, Coca-Cola to even hanging with the Pillsbury Doughboy, Lil’ Mirkk has appeared on television sets across the globe.

But acting was not Lil’ Mirkk’s sole talent.  The music industry was and is graced with this powerful performer’s presence.  Finding the gift of rhyme at the age of five was where the ‘rap’ talent first came into being.  When still just a youth, Lil’ Mirkk - then known as Def Ice - recorded an album titled, “Seeing is Believing,” which was released by Rainbo Records. This unique rapper appeared at popular venues including the Palladium, Club Nouveau, The Watts Festival, St. Elmo’s Village Festival, and BMG Showcase, just to name a few.  Lil’ Mirkk performed on Raw Talent, a cable show for musicians, and all over the airwaves of KDAY and the USC Campus.

Lil’ Mirkk’s resume and credits go on and on, and soon he will head to the big screen with many different projects in 2012, including an amazing comedy titled, Mischief Manor.  A film by Mark Lane, written by Terry “Don Stone” Williford, and directed by Tony Taratino, Mischief Manor is sure to be a hilarious movie that all audiences will line up to see!  The plot of Mischief Manor wraps around a wealthy old fella’ by the name of Fritz.  In his mid-seventies, this is a man who is more than a bit tired of dealing with his money hungry family, including the likes of a high maintenance daughter named, Amber, and his wanna’ be fashion designer son, Gerald.  Fritz has a headache, to say the least, and decides to hide out for a while after he discovers that he has terminal cancer. Checking into Westfield Manor, which is an upscale home for senior citizens, Fritz gets even more than he bargained for.

With his zest for life, Fritz immediately begins to turn the Manor into his own private after-hours fun land with the help of Ramirez (a younger, hip intern) and his gang of elderly misfits.  After this group has done absolutely everything they can to upset their very own Nurse Ratched (A.K.A. Wanda The Warden), Fritz and ‘gang’ decide to sneak out of the Manor with Ramirez’s help, and take their show on the road to the unsuspecting public.  In one single night they manage to get caught up in a convenience store robbery, a tattoo parlor, and a Mexican drug cartel…and that’s just the beginning of the party!

Lil’ Mirkk will play the hysterical Ruben Ramirez, and have audiences ‘cracking’ up in theatres across America.

But that is most definitely not all that is coming up in Lil’ Mirkk’s very near future.  Gearing up for his reintroduction into the music work, Lil’ Mirkk has been working on a brand new album to be released in 2012 by Def Jam Records titled, WTF - and fans are chomping at the bit waiting for that!

In addition, the movie screen is calling out, as well.  Lil’ Mirkk will be appearing in Battleship – a big screen blockbuster starring Liam Neeson and directed by Peter Berg.  Set for release in May, 2012, this action-packed sci-fi powerhouse is based on a fleet of ships that are forced to do battle with an armada of ‘unknown origins’ in order to discover and prevent their destructive mission.  Industry ‘insiders’ are already primed for this to be one of the biggest movies of 2012!

There is one other, however, that could prove to be even greater in scope. One of the most talked about and debated films for 2012 is a movie to be based on the unbelievably popular Microsoft videogame – HALO.  The plot being talked about around the sci-fi Hollywood universe is that after crash-landing on an artificial ‘ring-world’ called HALO, a navy captain, his surviving marines, and a chemically-and-surgically-enhanced super soldier named John-117 “Master Chief,” must find out what the “Covenant,” (the genocidal alien race they are at war with) are looking for on the ring. However, HALO holds more secrets than either side ever imagined.  Fans have been demanding this movie, and have been offered hardly any information about this upcoming film.  What this writer can say is that Lil’ Mirkk did land the starring role of John-117 “Master Chief,” so all fans everywhere can clasp their hands and wish like crazy for this one to hit the screen!

There may also be a whisper in the universe that Lil’ Mirkk will set the Streets On Fire in a movie with Jamie Foxx.

Over the next few months, we will be exploring all that Lil’ Mirkk is creating in his universe, and bringing you the ‘inside’ news on some of the biggest rumors in Hollywood.  Not only that, but we will offer in-depth interviews with Lil’ Mirkk and introduce each and every one of you to a truly extraordinary man; a man whose heart, soul and spirit are filled with light, kindness, and genuine emotion that he wishes to ‘gift’ to audiences through all of his artistic ventures.

Lil’ Mirkk was quoted as saying that: Life is a gift of God and we should cherish it all and come to peace; not fighting in wars or having hate toward others. Stay true, and good will come to you.  These are the words of an artist who believes in humanity and the power of good.  And this world can’t wait for Lil’ Mirkk to shine on screen and off, and envelop the rest of us in his fantastic talent!  Keep ‘watching,’ because each and every week we will bring you in-depth coverage of every project, and get to know all the facets of the incredible, Lil’ Mirkk!

Until Next Time, Everybody.
